Changes and finishing to 2.14

Till Paala
Hi all (and Francisco )

I was quite busy the last couple of months and this is going on. But
since 2.14 appeared I checked for the website and found some minor
mistakes, also in the manuals. How will I best commit them? And is there
something else I should do to due to the stable release?

I noticed also that the direct links on the front page are not
translated to German, but e.g. to Spain. Can somebody tell me where to
look for that translation?

Thanks a lot!
Till

Please commit them into lilypond/translation branch. And please be
careful about separating translations that are for stable 2.14 from
those which are 2.15 only.  Keeping those in separate commits will
help us to cherry-pick to 2.14 those selected translations that are
for 2.14.

If you want to complete some 2.14 translations, the problem is to know
what ones from these would be useful for 2.15 as well.  It is not easy
to find out.  Alternatively, you could leave 2.14 alone, prepare a
comprehensive translation for 2.16 and continue translating as usual,
then I will merge onto master and hopefully 2.16 will be released
soon.

I will take a look.

Hello Francisco

Congratulations on the release of 2.14 :)

I noticed also that the direct links on the front page are not translated to German, but e.g. to Spain. Can somebody tell me where to look for that translation?

The direct links on the front page are not translated to Japanese too.
(I have translated the links to Learning, Notation and Usage.)
And they link to English pages.

I am glad if you fix them.

Thanks,
Yoshiki Sawada (Japan)

Hello, Till and Yoshiki.  I had a hard time while figuring out you
were talking about "Quick links" at the right panel of the main page.
I have searched for this text in Spanish and this is the result:

$ git grep "Descarga de"
Documentation/es/web.texi:@ref{Descarga, Descarga de @versionStable}
Documentation/es/web.texi:@ref{Desarrollo, Descarga de @versionDevel}

So the file is Documentation/xx/web.texi; let's check that for de/ and ja/

$ git grep @versionStable Documentation/de/web.texi
Documentation/de/web.texi:@ref{Download, Download @versionStable}
Documentation/de/web.texi:@ref{Manuals, Manuals @versionStable}

It appears untranslated in de/ .

$ git grep @versionStable Documentation/ja/web.texi
Documentation/ja/web.texi:@ref{ダウンロード, ダウンロード @versionStable}
Documentation/ja/web.texi:@ref{マニュアル, マニュアル @versionStable}

It appears translated in ja/ , and it appears translated on the page.
So, which exact direct link on the main japanese page is still
untranslated? Please enlighten me.

Great, this was easy! I will commit a patch and inform you about it.

Thanks!

Oh, how soon will that be? Less than half a year?

Nobody knows but I'd bet less than a year.
