PDF for Hungarian, Czech and Chinese were disabled due to problems in
their build, if I recall correctly.  Maybe now it is time to have a
look into it.  If you can generate the documentation, look for a
GNUMakefile that inhibits PDF in your directory and try changing it,
then 'make doc'

Hi all,

I just saw that PDF build is broken in Hungarian. Can you on the exact failure so that I can help resolving the issue? It would be great to have PDF manuals in Hungarian for 2.14.2. :)

Could you provide a tex/txi-hu.tex file? Then try to build the PDF
again. Send it to me and I will try it as well.

All translators who want PDF docs, please do the same. Thanks!

BTW I copied txi-es.tex to txi-hu.tex and now I have a beautiful

I missed it, sorry. Please push into lilypond/translation if make doc
produces a decent PDF  for you and no breaks in build after redoing
your last change to hu/GNUmakefile.  Also check that those files are
reacheable from the appropriate links in the webpage.

Then contact Carl for him to backport it.

I can not make doc with your new file. These are relevant lines of the
log.  Could you build a PDF from your tree with this file on it?

Loading txi-hu [version v. 1.03. ], hyphenation,

You could use a txi-hu.tex file from elsewhere or you could
translate/adapt txi-en.tex, which seems to be adapted to our build
system.  As I said, I can build a PDF just copying txi-es.tex to
txi-hu.tex, so let's make the minimum required change to make it work
and don't include any dependencies from any external files.

The solution is not to download a huhyp.tex file, but provide a valid
txi-hu.tex file with everything included in it. We relied on existing
packages for rendering our manuals until now, but if you think that
current dependencies are not enough for the Hungarian language, then
we can perhaps widen them.

I did not see Italian manuals whe I built them with the Spanish file
instead.  Check the contents of the out-www directory and try tracking
back where all that Italian material comes from.

So is it okay if I include huhyp.tex (just one file) in /tex, or should I inline it in txi-hu.tex?

Hmm... I have no clue at sight, and I'm not a tex guru.
To experiment, I want to build only the Hungarian material, but I can't find in the CG how to do this. Is this possible?

Whatever, provided that the whole thing is autosufficient.

  cd Documentation/hu
  touch learning.tely

Then launch 'make doc' from Documentation/hu . This will leave all in
Documentation/hu/out-www/

Okay, the "official" txi-hu.tex and huhyp.tex somehow do not work, so I just translated txi-en.tex. Some macros have yet to be refined (chapter/appendix formats etc.) to match the correct Hungarian typography, but at least this one works, so I pushed it and am going to refine it later. Thank you very much for the support!

Also check links to PDFs from web.  A further nitpick is needed: we
must distribute any new files. I am never sure how to do it, and I
currently don't remember it.  Give me some time.

Now the paths seem correct (e.g. http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.14/Documentation/learning.hu.pdf), yet there are no PDF files on lilypond.org, though the changesets are in the master branch. Does the website reflect the release/unstable branch? If yes, Carl, may I ask you to merge 3c947ecc5d87b61a65a0bc70ff78c9e81c925d17 and faedf68d175302e2f52de307368677e934112cc1 into it?

Thank you in advance!
