community.it.html is empty

Federico Bruni-2
I've just compiled the documentation. Everything is ok, except for the
italian community page, which is empty: I can see only the footer.
Do you have any idea of the reason?
'make doc' didn't show any error or warning.

Find attached the changes I've made.

Thanks

Well, running it again I got an error:

I can not apply those diffs. Could you send me a patch against current
HEAD of the translation branch?

Do it.

This suggests you are launching make with the -j option. I think
current error log system is able to handle this, but I'm not sure.

> There's a texinfo parser?

Yes, both the 'texinfo' program itself and texi2html can parse texinfo.

Please send me a patch so I can try reproducing this.

I did it but it's basically empty:

Processing web site: []

I get the same error even if I don't use the -j option

How can you do it exactly?
The problem is that I don't know Texinfo and I may overlook some error.
I don't think that make doc will issue warnings if there's something
wrong in the texinfo file.

> Please send me a patch so I can try reproducing this.

Find it attached. The patch is against
40c0295431d0732747d0e37b7911f03fb9daca16 (two commits before current HEAD).

Don't know if it's really a remote problem or something connected to my
current connection (I'm in a pub using a public wifi):

$ git pull
ssh: connect to host git.sv.gnu.org port 22: Connection refused
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

I suspect that the patch is ok and something on my system doesn't work
properly. If you can compile the doc please push it.

Thanks

PS Why I got all these patches? Really weird...

I applied your patch and run make doc. It stops with

Please check the logfile web.splittexi.log for errors

and Documentation/it/web.splittexi.log contains

  Processing web site: [it]
  *** Undefined node `GSoC' in @ref (in ./web/community.itexi l. 31)
  Max error number exceeded

The build process runs it for you and logs errors in readable files,
so maybe we don't really need to run it by ourselves.

We just need to find the proper generated log file.

Yes, it is probably because your connection has web ports enabled and
all other ports closed.

Perform a 'git fetch' ant try again, then tell me.

To generate a patch for the last commit only, I usually do

  git format-patch HEAD^

Which means a patch from my last-but-one commit to my last commit.
Note the 'my' and 'my'

That's it!
I checked the log in Documentation instead of Documentation/it

So I forgot to rename the node 'GSoC 2012'.

Now the doc compiles fine.
I've just pushed to translation. My first time...hope everything is ok.

I realize I should have used:

   git format-patch origin/translation

as I've recently started using more branches
