po file: reporting bugs

Jean-Charles MALAHIEUDE
Hi all,

I hope you have noticed this msgid

#. Translators, please translate this string as
#. "Report bugs in English via %s",
#. or if there is a LilyPond users list or forum in your language
#. "Report bugs in English via %s or in YOUR_LANG via URI"
#: abc2ly.py:1395 convert-ly.py:144 etf2ly.py:1216 lilypond-book.py:234
#: midi2ly.py:909 musicxml2ly.py:2751 main.cc:281
#, c-format, python-format
msgid "Report bugs via %s"

Please label your translation according to what you have in the footer
of the docs (see Documentation/LANG.po)

So it becomes for French:
msgstr ""
"Signalez tout bogue, en français à\n"
"ou en anglais à\n"
"%s"

and should be in Spanish:
msgstr ""
"Informe de los fallos en español a\n"
"o en inglès \n"
"%s"

Cheers,
Jean-Charles

I just notice that it is in the program's po file (dealt by the FTP).

Thank you. That's not exactly what the comment says, it tells us to
put English first, then our_language.  I think is better our_language
first.  Editing and sending again to FTP...

The robot accepted my PO but I obtained the following warning, so that
both lines should be joined:

«
Hi!  I am the service robot at the Translation Project,
and was awakened by your submission of 'lilypond-2.13.42.es.po'.

The Translation Project is trying to reach a consistent presentation
for PO files, over all domains and languages.  Your submission was not
fully canonical, so the robot has made the following modifications to
your PO file.  You can use 'patch' to apply these changes to your
local file, but you do not need to: the robot will continue making
them patiently and automatically here.  This message continues after
the (maybe long) diff.

Very strange! I think that it is due to a missing \n (a line break) in
the msgstr. It has not complained with my version...

As far as I'm concerned, I always try to avoid lines longer than 72
characters, because of the line length of the console; I'm then quite
sure the full message will have enough place to be displayed. English
might often be too concise in the wording, and many nouns really are
identical to verbs (too bad for us...)

Cheers,
Jean-Charles
